Business Survey

George S. May International Company conducts detailed business surveys prior to assigning any business consulting team. As the first step for every prospective client, our preliminary survey not only confirms, for both you and us, that your business has areas that will benefit from our business consulting services, but it also outlines every potential problem area within your company.

A George S. May International Company business Analyst, selected for each client by a council of our most experienced executives, works at your facilities full-time until the survey is completed. Assisted by a portable computer system, our Analysts dig deep into your processes-reviewing your company's history, organization, control, policies, procedures, profits and more.

All aspects of the review are then discussed with each client. The survey is complete only when you, the Analyst and our Executive Council of George S. May International Company are satisfied that all areas have been explored and all problems completely defined. At that point, all problems and our recommendations for their correction are discussed, allowing prospective clients to make an informed decision whether or not to hire our consultant services.

Specialized survey processes exist to ensure detailed analysis for a variety of business types, including:

  • Manufacturing: We'll examine labor costs, materials costs, plant layout, overhead, production control and other major factors to create more profitable operations.
  • Retail: We'll devote added attention to your floor space, layout, counter methods, merchandising and inventory turnover.
  • Service: We'll study your requirements and evaluate your management plan, giving particular attention to your service procedures, expense control, profit structure, accounting methods, employee compensation and productivity. We'll also review your purchasing, inventory and other control factors.
  • Quality: We'll examine quality assurance systems and management to help keep your company committed to quality processes and procedures. Special attention is given to documentation, procedures, training, quality review and management awareness. Assessments can also be made of your business' readiness for ISO 9000 registration.George S. May International Company
